The Lavagnoli Chapel, originally dedicated to St. John the Evangelist, is now dedicated to St. Anne. On the left we see a series of frescoes by the Mantegna school, attributed to a young Giovanni Maria Falconetto. In the median strip you can recognise the Crucifixion. Below, St. James is flanked by family members, some Dominican friars and the painter, Giovanni Maria Falconetto, who portrays himself with the tools of the trade.
