Audio transcription
The Giusti Chapel, formerly used as a sacristy, today hosts the choir of the Dominicans, a 15th century artefact by the master Lorenzo di Santa Cecilia, inspired by the masterpiece by Giovanni da Verona in the nearby church of St. Maria in Organo.
From the ceiling the helm of a ship hangs, a war trophy from the famous battle of Lepanto in 1571. The original glass panels in the windows have survived from 1460 with the coat of arms of the Giusti family. Above the choir, there are 18th century paintings by Antonio Balestra: Abraham and the Three Angels and the Angel helping Hagar. Above the altar, the 16th century altarpiece Madonna and Child with St. Anne and the Saints Vincent Ferrer, Dominic, Francis, Augustine, Jerome and Massimo Di Felice Brusasorzi.
