The Mazzoleni family chapel is dedicated to St. Raymond of Penafort, Master General of the Dominican order in 1238 and author of the Dominicans Constitutions that remained valid up to 1924.
Felice Brusasorzi painted the top of the alterpiece, where you see the Madonna and Child and the Saints James, Bartholomew and Francis. The painter’s death which took place in 1605, interrupted the completion of the work. The lower part of the painting, with the image of St. Raymond, was completed by Alessandro Turchi, known as the Orbetto.
